Pimalai Resort & Spa Koh Lanta

It is currently the only resort on Lanta island, Krabi, having received the official 5 ***** certification.

Pimalai Resort & Spa is built on a splendid 100 acres of hilly land of lush tropical forest with direct access to a 900 meters pristine sandy beach. A great emphasis has been placed by the architects to preserve the environment when designing the low rise southern style buildings and this result today in a resort complementing the setting rather than competing with it. The property is located approximately 2hrs to 2hrs30mns (pending on season) from Krabi International Airport and is reached by the resort’s private minibus and cruising boat. The accommodation of restful low-density and of a southern style design, are nestled in this magnificent lush tropical forest, overlooking Kantieng bay, arguably the best bay on the island. In December 2005, was initiated the opening of 39 stunning Pool Villas.

Baan Pimalai Restaurant
The main restaurant offers outdoor dining areas with sweeping views of the resort’s infinity-edge swimming pool, the landscaped gardens and the bay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus offer both Thai and Western dining choices.

Spice’n Rice
A very elegant air-conditioned restaurant offering classic Thai cuisine.

 

Rak Talay Beach Bar & Restaurant

This restaurant nestled beneath towering shady trees from where guest can take in the  sweeping views of the Andaman Sea and gentle southern breezes. The menu features  casual light snacks, including salads, pasta, pizzas and great sandwiches. Freshly  caught grilled seafood and a variety of light stir fried Thai style dishes are also  available at dinner time.

 

The Pool Bar
An informal spot for refreshing drinks and light snacks whilst sunbathing around our stunning infinity-edge swimming pool.

 

The Lobby Bar
A casual elegant open pavilion style lounge, set up 45 meters above sea level serving cocktails, pre and after dinner drinks. The Lobby Bar offers unrivaled views across the Ba Kan Tiang bay towards a brilliant Thai sunset.

Facilities

Today the resort’s facilities consist of two superb infinity-edge freshwater swimming pools, a PADI dive center (Nov – Apr), a large fitness room with high quality fitness equipment, a sport ground that includes 2 floodlight tennis courts, library lounges offering free high speed internet access, shops and meeting facilities for up to 80 persons.
